Open Day

On December 12, 2024, as part of the Legal Knowledge Week, an Open Day was held at the Verkhnedvinsk Department of the Department of Protection of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for students of the 5th "B" grade of the educational institution "Secondary School No. 2 of Verkhnedvinsk named after Hero of the Soviet Union N.V. Troyan". The event was organized by the educational institution "Secondary School No. 2 of Verkhnedvinsk named after Hero of the Soviet Union N.V. Troyan".

Senior Inspector of the Police, Military and Guard Unit, Mazheyko Svetlana Viktorovna, addressed the students, discussing the specifics of service and work in the protection department. She also spoke about road safety rules, the prevention of drug trafficking, and practical cases of criminals being apprehended by officers.

Minchenko Alexander Viktorovich, a police dog handler of the detention unit, described service in the detention unit, demonstrated the special equipment used by officers on duty, and talked about working with a four-legged partner, dog training methods, and the results achieved in service activities. Lynko Rita Alexandrovna, spoke about the admission requirements for educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the entrance examinations. Using the example of students from the Verkhnedvinsk district attending the Lyceum, she described the daily routine and schedule of the lyceum and showed a film about the life of the department.

Pankrat Dmitry Nikolaevich and Sytikov Sergey Eduardovich, police drivers of the detention unit, discussed the service vehicle, the duties of a driver, and the importance of concentration on the road. They also explained to the children the necessity of wearing reflective elements on their clothing during nighttime.

The actions of police officers during the apprehension of a criminal were demonstrated. All the boys and girls were active, asking questions about the service, to which they received comprehensive answers. In the end, the children were satisfied, and we hope that we have helped them, even if only a little, to approach the solution of the most important task – to chart a path into the future.
