Independence Day
Independence Day in our country is the main holiday of Belarusian statehood, celebrated annually on July 3 in honor of the liberation of the city of Minsk from Nazi invaders in 1944.
This holiday coincides with the birthday of our city, Verkhnedvinsk. The department staff, led by the head, took part in the theatrical rally "Our Memory is Eternal," which took place in the city square, and honored the memory of soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War. Flowers and wreaths in memory of the fallen were laid at the foot of the monument.
We pay tribute to the glorious feat of the Belarusian people, and bow our heads low before those who fell on the battlefields. This holiday is imbued with a sense of boundless gratitude to those who, sparing their own lives, defended our land and gave us freedom.
