Open Day

On June 14, 2023, an Open Day was held at the administrative building of the Verkhnedvinsk Department of the Department of Protection of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for students of the summer camp of the state educational institution "Verkhnedvinsk Gymnasium".

The choice of schoolchildren of this age category was not accidental – after all, soon they will all have to face a difficult choice of profession. The employees of the Verkhnedvinsk Department of the Department of Protection decided not to stand aside from finding a solution to this difficult task. The children were introduced to the history of the department's creation and the employees' workplaces. Then, the children were shown a film about the work of our department. The students were told about the admission rules to educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, about modern alarm systems, about how an alarm signal is received at the control panel, how the duty officer of the control panel should act in this case, and the students' attention was focused on the requirements for employees.

Baikov Kirill Sergeevich, a police officer of the detention group of the patrol police unit, spoke about service in the detention group and visually demonstrated the special equipment used by employees when they go on duty. The children became especially lively when they were offered to try on a bulletproof vest and helmet – everyone eagerly imagined themselves in the role of a police officer.

Budo Sergey Vladimirovich, acting head of the vacant position of commander of the detention group of the patrol police unit, spoke about the need for reflective elements at night, about the service vehicle, showed his four-legged friend Arfei and all his skills, which he had learned during his service in the protection department. He demonstrated how a service dog helps employees in detaining criminals.

All the boys and girls were active, asked questions, and received comprehensive answers. As a result, the children were satisfied, and we hope that we have helped them, at least a little, to come closer to solving the most important task – to outline their path to the future.
