Family Day
On May 15, Belarus celebrates the International Day of Families. This holiday was established by the UN General Assembly on September 20, 1993.
It was created to draw the attention of the general public to the problems of the family, of which there are a large number today. The family, as the basic element of society, has been and remains the guardian of human values, culture, and historical continuity of generations, a factor of stability and development.
The Head of the Department, Ivanov Dmitry Vladimirovich, held a discussion with the employees and staff of the department on the subject of preserving and creating a family as a reliable rear in all times.
Thanks to the assistance provided by the employees of the state cultural institution "Verkhnedvinsk Central Library System" of the district library, a book exhibition was held in the department, using literature on family values.
The family is a source of love, respect, solidarity, and affection; it is what any civilized society is built upon, without which a person cannot exist!
