15 мая в республике стартует информационно-пропагандистская акция «Безопасные каникулы»

On May 15, the information and propaganda campaign 'Safe Holidays' will start in the republic.

From May 15 to August 31, the republican information and propaganda campaign "Safe Holidays" will be held in all regions of the country.

The campaign has become traditional and is conducted to draw public attention to the problem of children's pranks with fire, prevent fires and child deaths from them, reduce the number of emergencies involving children, and ensure their overall safety both at home and outdoors.

For reference: In 2025, four children died in fires in the country. 23 fires occurred due to children's pranks with fire. Tragic incidents also occurred on water bodies: 12 children drowned this year.

In 2024, 10 children died in fires. 91 fires were registered due to children's pranks with fire. Last year, 19 children drowned in water bodies.

The campaign will start with large-scale events dedicated to Family Day and International Children's Day: on open grounds in amusement and recreation parks, near cultural centers, cinemas, shopping and entertainment centers, etc. – everywhere parents with children most often visit – employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations will conduct bright and interesting activities. Interactive games, quizzes and active contests, demonstrations of rescue equipment and machinery, demonstration performances by the Ministry of Emergency Situations units, distribution of educational visual materials, concert programs, creative performances – this is far from the entire list of what rescuers have prepared for children and their parents.

In the following days, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, along with activists of the Belarusian Youth Public Association of Rescuers-Firefighters and representatives of the ОСВОД (Belarusian Society for the Rescue of Persons on Water), will visit school and suburban health camps, and preschool institutions. They will remind children of important safety rules that must be observed at home and outdoors, and explain how not to become victims of seasonal dangers and how to act in case of trouble.

To ensure that the changes are not only fun but also beneficial, the Ministry of Emergency Situations' propaganda workers have prepared a whole host of creative and educational activities for the children: various fire safety quizzes, games, contests, and quizzes that will help teach children how to live safely in an accessible way. Rescuers will place a strong emphasis on teaching water safety rules and swimming skills. "MChS Day," "MChS-LAND," the game "School of Young Rescuers," quizzes, safety quizzes, excursions to safety centers and fire and rescue units – all this and much more has been prepared by the MChS workers for the children. These events will allow children to demonstrate their erudition and ingenuity, reveal their creative potential, test their strength and endurance, and most importantly – learn, review, and reinforce vitally important safety rules. Thematic videos and cartoons from the MChS will also be shown, and participants will receive visual educational materials.

Dear parents, do not forget that you must take care of your children's safety: create safe living conditions, never leave children unattended even for a short time, discuss dangerous situations and their consequences with your children. The YouTube channel "MChS for Kids" can help you with this. Be an example for your child and follow safety rules.

Join the MChS events and together we will make children's summer safe!
