06.07.2025, the Central Operations Department of the Verkhnedvinsk Regional Department for Emergency Situations received a report from a citizen about a bathhouse fire in Verkhnedvinsk.

The bathhouse is wooden, single-story, with a slate roof and stove heating.

The owner was in the house at the time of the fire and was not injured.

As a result of the fire in the bathhouse, the roof, walls, and property were damaged.

The cause of the fire is being investigated. The considered version of the cause of the fire is violation of the rules for operating stoves, heat-generating units and devices (leaving the stove unattended).

          ROCHS reminds that outbuildings such as sheds, garages, summer kitchens, and bathhouses must comply with fire safety requirements to prevent possible fires and ensure the safety of residents.

- Wood must be treated with a fire-retardant compound.

- Stoves must be made of refractory brick, and a sheet of iron must be installed in front of the firebox to protect against falling embers.

- It is forbidden to overload the electrical grid, leave electrical appliances unattended, or use a gas stove for heating.

- When operating stove heating, it is necessary to timely clean the chimney of soot, not to leave stoves unattended, and not to entrust their supervision to children.

- When using gas equipment, it is necessary to regularly check the draft and ventilate the room, as well as not to use a gas stove for heating.

- The property must have primary fire extinguishing means, such as fire extinguishers, containers with sand and water.
