Verkhnedvinsk Regional Emergency Situations Department reminds

In accordance with the decision of the Verkhnedvinsk District Executive Committee, from November 29, 2024, citizens are prohibited from going out onto water bodies located within the Verkhnedvinsk district during the ice formation period, throughout the winter of 2024/2025, until the ice thickness reaches 7 centimeters, as well as during the period of intensive ice melting and destruction in the winter-spring period of 2025.

Raids have been organized to identify "extreme fishermen" with subsequent application of administrative penalties.

To prevent a tragedy from happening to you and your loved ones, rescuers remind you:

- Ice is considered safe if its thickness is at least 7 centimeters. If you witness someone falling through the ice, immediately report it by calling 112 or 101.

- Be vigilant during your winter hobby, as your loved ones are waiting for you on the shore!

- Adults and children, observe the rules of conduct on water bodies; adhering to elementary safety measures is the key to your safety.
