Fire in a residential building on Karl Marx Street
10.09.2024 at 07:14, the Central Operations Unit of the Verkhnedvinsk District Department for Emergency Situations received a report of a residential house fire on Karl Marx Street in Verkhnedvinsk. Upon arrival at the scene, dense smoke was observed inside the house. The owner, born in 1956, is a pensioner and lives alone.
At the time of the fire, she was at home. At 07:24, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, as part of a gas and smoke diving team, carried her out of the house unconscious into the fresh air and handed her over to an ambulance crew.
After examination by the ambulance crew with a preliminary diagnosis of burns to both legs, both arms, chest, abdomen, and head of II-III degree (60% of the body), and poisoning by combustion products, she was hospitalized at the Verkhnedvinsk Central District Hospital. The cause of the fire is being established. The considered version of the cause of the fire is careless handling of fire while smoking by the homeowner.
