The stove caused the fire in the village of Zhovnino
During the heating season, stoves pose an increased risk. Therefore, as the cold weather sets in, reports from rescuers increasingly include facts about fires due to non-compliance with the rules for using stove heating systems.

For this article, we have conditionally divided the causes of stove-related fires into two groups: malfunctions and personal negligence. We suggest you immediately identify what resembles your situation and rectify it before dialing the magic number 112.
The first group of causes is your actions. We apologize, but this is the harsh truth. Violation of fire safety rules when operating a stove is perhaps the main theme of all news reports where stoves are prominently mentioned. We suggest you honestly admit:
1. You thought about lighting the stove with gasoline or other flammable liquids because everything was burning poorly;
2. You were definitely too lazy to chop firewood, so you, repeating the words of Vovka from the Thrice-Tenth Kingdom, "It'll do!", furiously, with veins bulging on your forehead and covered in sweat from exertion, stuffed them into the stove;
3. You have more than once, with the thought "It seems it won't be warm enough," left the stove burning all night;
4. You opened the stove doors hoping to warm the house, but ended up summoning Lucifer as well;
5. We won't even mention drying clothes and other items near the hearth – a classic! You're wondering how we know? We won't tell. We never reveal our sources. Let's move on.
The second group includes stove defects. This includes insufficient clearances of chimneys where they pass through wooden ceilings, small distances between the stove walls and wooden partition structures and house walls, the absence of an independent stove foundation or a hearth mat, cracks in the chimney, saving money on the services of a stove setter, etc. In simple terms, you do not sufficiently understand that a stove is not just a brick thing standing in the house, necessary for drying onions in tights and warming your sides, but a separate "mechanism" that requires special attention.
These seemingly harmless reasons can burden you with unexpected popularity – becoming an internet star – because with such an approach to safety, you will definitely succeed. However, such attention will bring nothing but, at best, rest on a hospital bed with burns and poisoning from combustion products.
One of the latest such incidents in our district occurred on February 17, when at 22:18, a report of a fire in an unused building in the village of Zhovnino, Belkovshchinsky rural council, was received by the operational control point of the emergency department from an eyewitness. Upon arrival at the scene of the fire, rescuers observed open burning of a one-story wooden building. Fortunately, there were no casualties, but
nevertheless, as a result of the fire, the roof, ceiling
structure, and property were destroyed, and the walls were damaged.
An investigation into this fire is currently underway. The cause is the same – violation of the rules for operating or constructing a stove.
