The banya burned down

On January 3rd, around 8:00 PM, the Ministry of Emergency Situations dispatcher received a call about a bathhouse fire in the village of Chernyavshchina, Kokhanovichsky rural council, Verkhnedvinsk district.

Upon arrival at the scene, units of the Verkhnedvinsk Regional Department of Emergency Situations observed the burning of a wooden bathhouse built in 1976.

The owner, a pensioner born in 1953, was in the house at the time of the fire. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

The fire was extinguished in less than half an hour, but the bathhouse was completely destroyed.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.

Possible causes under consideration:

1. Careless handling of fire by the bathhouse owner;

2. Violation of electrical network and electrical equipment operating rules (short circuit of the utility building's wiring).

A clear example of how dangerous the element of fire is and what it can lead to.

– It is necessary to be vigilant about your safety: extinguish cigarettes in non-combustible ashtrays (or in jars of water), check the condition of electrical wiring in outbuildings, and ensure the safe operation of electrical appliances and equipment, – said Kristina Domasevich, inspector of the Verkhnedvinsk Regional Department of Emergency Situations.

In case of an emergency, the Ministry of Emergency Situations recommends calling 101 or 112 immediately!
