A man died in a fire

On the night of December 30, at 00:36, the Verkhnedvinsk unit of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received a report of a residential house fire in the village of Garbuli, Saryan rural council, Verkhnedvinsk district.

At the time of the rescuers' arrival, the house was observed to be open burning. The house is wooden, 4x8 m, built in 1960, electrified, with stove heating (firewood), not gasified. Smoke detectors were not installed.

The owner, born in 1974, is unemployed. Holding citizenship of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, he had been living in the village of Garbuli for the past year and a half. According to neighbors, he was characterized negatively and abused alcoholic beverages.

Unfortunately, he was in the house at the time of the fire. His body was discovered under a meter-thick layer of collapsed structures.

As a result of the fire, the roof, ceiling, and property were also destroyed, and the walls were damaged.

The considered cause of the fire is a violation of electrical equipment operating rules.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations recommends:

Before using an electrical appliance, read the instructions carefully. Pay special attention to the operating time and current requirements.

Remember that connecting a computer, heater, and vacuum cleaner to the same outlet at once can overload the network. This is especially true for old houses with worn-out wiring.

If the lighting dims slightly when you turn on an electrical appliance, it is a sure sign that the network is overloaded.

And this is a precursor to a fire.

Remember that it is dangerous to leave electrical appliances switched on unattended, including overnight. Do not dry clothes on heaters.

Do not allow children to play with such devices.

Stay safe!
