Careless handling of fire from a gas stove turned into a tragedy

On February 16, a female citizen born in 1953 was admitted to the Verkhnedvinsk Central District Hospital with bodily injuries in the form of burns, which began to fester. The next day, she was transferred to the intensive care unit due to the severity of her injuries. According to the doctor's conclusion, the citizen had 40% body burns of I-IV degrees at that time. The most pronounced burns were on the face (I degree), chest (III degree), and armpit area (IV degree). Burns of the oral cavity and nasal mucosa were also identified.

According to the citizen, the circumstances were as follows:

On February 7, at approximately 10 a.m., she began to prepare food. At that time, her robe belt caught fire from the gas stove, and then her clothes started burning. Seeing this, she ran to the bathroom to extinguish the fire. When her husband returned home, he saw that her clothes were burnt and she herself had suffered from the fire. After that, he went to the pharmacy for medicine. They did not seek medical attention due to fear. The citizen also explained that the fire occurred due to her own negligence.

On February 21, due to the stabilization of her condition, the citizen was transferred to the Vitebsk Regional Clinical Hospital for further treatment. Despite this, on February 24, she passed away.

Thus, the heroine's life was divided into "before" and "after." However, this "after" will never come for her.
