Verkhnedvinsk rescuers on vacation
Rescuers of Verkhnedvinsk region took an active part in the republican campaign of the Ministry of Emergency Situations "Holidays without smoke and fire!". And along with them were schoolchildren from the city and the region who attend health camps.
Children from Volynets and Sarya schools visited the rescuers at Fire Station No. 1. Here, the head of the duty shift, Sergey Shishko, showed the guests all the premises of the station and told them about the daily life of rescuers.
– I didn't know that a firefighter sleeps only 4 hours a night. How do you get enough sleep? – one of the schoolchildren asked.
– When starting a duty shift, every firefighter knows the responsibility that lies on him and how important it is to always be on alert. After all, in case of an alarm, rescuers immediately rush into battle with the fiery element. And there is no time for sleep then, – said senior rescuer instructor Oleg Baykov.
There are many interesting devices and tools in a fire truck. Boys and girls became convinced of this when they inspected the fire truck and the cabin.
The children gladly tried on firefighter uniforms, wore helmets, and took memorable photos. They were also interested in the labyrinth installed on the territory of the department for emergency situations. Some decided to go through it with their eyes closed, some holding onto each other's shoulders, and some even in single file, as during an evacuation from a smoke-filled room.
The children recalled the safety rules for summer holidays together with the inspector for propaganda of life safety, Kristina Domasevich.
– Remember the important rules of behavior on water bodies and share your knowledge with friends. The more people know them, the fewer dangerous situations there will be, – Kristina Anatolyevna addressed the guests of the fire station.
At the end of the meeting, the children tried to independently supply water from a fire hose. And the most active ones even managed to get under the sprayed stream of water. The children left the fire station with a charge of energy and safety knowledge.
