The inter-district patriotic cycling race "Roads of Victory" has started in Polotsk

The inter-district patriotic cycling race "Roads of Victory" has started in Polotsk. Participants included students and the staff of Polotsk Children and Youth Sports School No. 2, led by its director, Leonid Nikolaevich Sinyavsky, a native of the agro-town of Sarya.

The route of the participants passed through the following points: Polotsk - Novopolotsk - Verkhnedvinsk district (Zelki village - Shaiterovo agro-town - Tyasty village) - Verkhnedvinsk - Ustye village - Sarya agro-town.
In the city square near the "Memory" memorial, Alexander Vashkel, an employee of the local history museum, told the participants of the cycling race about the history of the liberation of the Verkhnedvinsk region and introduced them to the history of the memorial's creation.
A laying of flowers and a group photo concluded the meeting program.
