60 years of Belarusian student teams

An open dialogue, a city tour, the "Memory of the Heart" project, new acquaintances, and much more were offered to participants and guests at the district festival of Belarusian student teams.

This year marks the 60th anniversary of the Belarusian student teams.

The head of the education department of the district executive committee, Svetlana Yakovleva, the head of the ideology and youth affairs department, Natalia Andreeva, the deputy head of the labor, employment, and social protection department, Tatyana Moskaleyova, and the director of the district historical and local lore museum, Polina Grod, met with the members of the district's student teams.

Each student team has been assigned the name of a Hero of the Soviet Union from our district.
This working summer, the guys from the "Proryv" student ecological team named after Hero of the Soviet Union N.V. Troyan are working in the communal housing and communal services group. Members of the "Lesnoy Patrul" and "Ekologicheskiy Patrul" teams named after Hero of the Soviet Union I.S. Kobzun are employed at the "Verkhnedvinsky Leskhoz" state forestry institution. The agricultural team "Plamya" named after Hero of the Soviet Union S.A. Zabagonsky has been formed at JSC "Sokolovshchina". Representatives of the "Yunye Patrioty" and "Ekologi" student teams, who have already completed their work in the district organizations, also attended the meeting.
The young people shared their impressions of their work, whether employers were satisfied with the results of their labor, and their plans for the next working summer.
This year, the members weeded fir tree plantings, cleaned streets, mowed with trimmers, cleaned calf pens, and swept.

From the History of Student Detachments
1963: 2,500 Belarusian students traveled to the Ural region of Kazakhstan from 16 universities. The consolidated detachment participated in the construction of 362 residential and cultural and household facilities. In the steppe, 100 residential buildings, 18 dormitories, 34 cultural and household facilities, 6 workshops, 8 schools, bathhouses, and warehouses were built.
1983: 977 student detachments participated in the construction of 941 facilities in the republic.
1986: Through the dedicated work of Belarusian detachments, housing was built in the Gomel region for those resettled from the Chernobyl NPP accident zone. 334 residential buildings were commissioned on a turnkey basis.
2002: The two most powerful organizations, BSM and BPSM, merged. Employment issues

become relevant, however, the student squad movement is significantly weakening.
2003: The symbols of the student squad are revived – the jacket, patches, chevrons, the flag of the RSHSO.
2009: Traditionally, the republican competitions "Youth for the Purity of Cities and Villages", the photo contest "To the Native Land – Worthy Labor", the competition for the best student squad and the best employer are held.
2011: The republican opening of the third labor semester "Student Summer-2011" – labor campaigns are held throughout the republic. On a gratuitous basis, student squad members improved more than 140 existing and installed 14 new children's playgrounds.
