Through joint efforts, prevent domestic violence

On December 28, 2023, a coordination meeting on combating crime and corruption was held under the chairmanship of the Prosecutor of Verkhnedvinsk District. The meeting addressed the issue of enhancing the effectiveness of preventive measures taken by subjects of crime prevention against the life and health of citizens, including in the sphere of domestic violence.

Representatives of the Verkhnedvinsk District Executive Committee, the Department of Internal Affairs, the Investigative Committee, and the Verkhnedvinsk Central District Hospital, as well as other government bodies and services, participated in the coordination meeting.

During the meeting, shortcomings were noted in the activities of certain subjects of crime prevention regarding the prevention of domestic violence. The causes and conditions for crimes against life and health committed in 2022 were analyzed.

Based on the results of the discussion of this issue, a mechanism for preventing crimes against life and health, including in the sphere of family and domestic relations, was developed.

The Prosecutor of Verkhnedvinsk District, as the chairman of the coordination meeting on combating crime and corruption, issued mandatory instructions to the subjects of crime prevention.

Violence can only be prevented through joint efforts!
