The memory of the tragedy in our hearts

On the anniversary of the Khatyn tragedy, the Verkhnedvinsk District Prosecutor's Office participated in the requiem rally "The Bell of Khatyn" and laid flowers at the memorial located in the village of Yanino, Verkhnedvinsk District.

80 years have passed since these tragedies in Osvia and Khatyn, yet the pain and memory of those horrific events live on in the hearts of the people of Verkhnedvinsk.

Representatives of local authorities and enterprises, youth from educational institutions, representatives of law enforcement agencies and public associations also took part in the solemn event.

Holding such events to honor the memory of the victims of Nazism is necessary to pay tribute to the fallen generations for peace in Belarus, and for the younger generation to foster a spirit of patriotism.

In the Year of Peace and Creation, and during the investigation of the criminal case on the genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War and the post-war period, such events acquire special significance and are given close attention by the district prosecutor's office.

After the requiem rally, a plaque with a QR code was installed near the memorial, providing information about the tragedy on the Verkhnedvinsk land during the Great Patriotic War.

Only through joint efforts can we convey to the younger generation the full truth about the military events and the feat of the Soviet soldier in the fight against Nazism.
