With the participation of the Senior Assistant Prosecutor of Verkhnedvinsk District, a civil case regarding the referral of a local resident to a medical and labor rehabilitation center was heard in an open court session at the Verkhnedvinsk District Department of Internal Affairs.

During the court proceedings, it was established that a 58-year-old local resident had been abusing alcoholic beverages for a long time and violated labor discipline, which led to his dismissal. Previously, while intoxicated, he intentionally operated a motor-block, for which he was brought to criminal responsibility.

Over the course of a year, the man was repeatedly brought
to administrative responsibility for committing offenses
while intoxicated. After an official warning about the possibility of being sent to a medical and labor rehabilitation center, he committed another offense. According to the medical report, the citizen has been diagnosed with moderate alcohol dependence syndrome.

The court of Verkhnedvinsk District, taking into account the prosecutor's opinion, decided to send the man for compulsory isolation and medico-social rehabilitation with mandatory labor engagement
in the conditions of the medical and labor rehabilitation center for a period of 12 months.

The court's decision has not yet entered into legal force and may be appealed and protested in appellate order.
