Criminal case article, part 2, article 205 of the Criminal Code

The Prosecutor's Office of Verkhnedvinsk District supported the state prosecution in a criminal case involving two local residents – they are charged with property theft committed by a group of persons, at an in-person court hearing.
The case was heard in the building of the Volynetsky rural executive committee.

According to the materials of the criminal case, two citizens, acting as a group of persons by prior conspiracy, stole metal gratings from the victim's adjacent territory. Subsequently, the metal products, with a total weight of over 400 kilograms, were sold by the accomplices to another local resident. The amount of damage caused amounted to almost 240 rubles.

In the court hearing, the defendants fully admitted their guilt and sincerely repented of their actions. They explained that they stole the property of others due to a lack of funds, and at the time of the crime, the men were not officially employed anywhere.

Taking into account the evidence presented by the state prosecutor, the court of Verkhnedvinsk District rendered a guilty verdict. Based on Part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus, the men were sentenced to restriction of liberty without direction to an open-type correctional institution for a term of 1 year each.

The court's verdict has not yet entered into legal force and may be appealed.
