Enterprises of the agro-industrial complex are under control

The Prosecutor's Office of the Verkhnedvinsk district, as part of an inspection of the compliance of agricultural organizations with property preservation legislation during the harvesting campaign, visited a number of enterprises in the district (OJSC "Prudinki", OJSC "Nurovo", OJSC "Sokolovshchina", OJSC "Belkovshchina").

Special attention was paid to the technical condition of grain harvesting combines, the availability and operability of fire safety systems, and the operability and readiness of grain drying complexes.

There are 19 grain cleaning and drying complexes in the Verkhnedvinsk district.

During the inspection, it was found that in one of the farms in the district, a grain cleaning and drying complex has been out of order for one year (an electric cable is missing).

There were complaints regarding compliance with fire safety legislation at OJSC "Belkovshchina" - the operability and serviceability of fire protection and fire extinguishing equipment, as well as their constant readiness for use, were not ensured (the fire extinguisher in the grain storage had expired recharge date). Similar violations were identified at UP "Uzhitsa-Agro".

An equally important aspect of the inspection was the study of the working conditions of machine operators, including the provision of personal protective equipment and the availability of necessary documentation.

During the measures carried out by the district prosecutor's office, violations of labor protection legislation were revealed.

For example, at OJSC "Nurovo", smoking is allowed outside specially designated areas. In the repair workshop, workers, when performing work using hand-held electric power tools (angle grinder), do not use personal protective equipment (safety goggles) for their eyes against the impact of dust, metal fragments, abrasive materials, and other solid particles.

During the visit to OJSC "Sokolovshchina", a fact was revealed of allowing a feed dispenser to be operated without protective guards for the chain drive. A wooden ladder is being used at the grain drying complex.

Based on the results of the measures taken, recommendations were made to strengthen control over compliance with labor protection and fire safety rules.
