The Prosecutor's Office of the Verkhnedvinsk district supported the state prosecution in a criminal case against a 29-year-old local resident – he is accused of evading parental payments for more than three months within a year, as ordered by a court decision.
The criminal case was heard at a field court session
in the administrative building of OJSC "Nurovo".
It was established that based on the court order, the man was obliged to pay alimony for the maintenance of his minor daughter, who lives with her mother. The accused
evaded employment for four months. Meanwhile, despite being employed by the open joint-stock company, he took no measures to pay funds for his daughter's maintenance for three months and did not notify the bailiff of his employment with the intention of evading payment. The accused did not voluntarily pay maintenance funds.
In the court session, the accused fully admitted his guilt.
Taking into account the evidence presented by the state prosecutor, the court of Verkhnedvinsk district rendered a guilty verdict. Pursuant to Part 1 of Article 174 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus, the man was sentenced to 250 hours of community service.
The verdict has not yet entered into legal force and may be appealed
and protested in appellate order.
