The Prosecutor's Office of Verkhnedvinsk District supported the state prosecution against a 25-year-old resident of the city, who is accused of secret property theft (larceny) committed on a large scale (Part 3 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus).

According to the materials of the criminal case, from June 1, 2022, to October 2, 2023, acting with a common intent, Zh. secretly stole goods and materials belonging to LLC "I" in the amount of 16074.78 rubles, which constitutes a large scale.

Zh., working as a general laborer in the "M" store, began to steal power tools from the warehouses. He carried the goods out first into a container for storing waste paper, which was located near the store, and then sold the stolen items to his acquaintances at a reduced price. These included drills, grinders, saws, compressors, and other tools.

During the court hearing, Zh. fully admitted his guilt in the committed crime and explained the circumstances of the crime.

During the court hearing, Zh.'s guilt in the act imputed to him was fully confirmed.

Taking into account the evidence presented by the state prosecutor, the court found Zh. guilty of committing the crime provided for by Part 3 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus and imposed a sentence of 2 years and 6 months of restriction of liberty with referral to an open-type correctional institution, with a fine of 100 base units.

The sentence has not yet entered into legal force.
