The fight against corruption is not only the duty of state bodies!

Corruption is a serious socio-political problem and is one of the sources of threats to national security.

The largest number of corruption offenses are detected in industry, agriculture, trade, construction, as well as in the sphere of public administration.

Along with the detection and suppression of offenses, their prevention is of particular importance. It is the prevention of corruption that is the focus of the organizational and legal measures taken in the Republic of Belarus in recent years.

In accordance with Part 1 of Article 6 of the Law of the Republic of Belarus "On Combating Corruption", the fight against corruption is carried out by the prosecution, internal affairs, and state security bodies.

At the same time, the fight against corruption is the duty not only of authorized state bodies.

Thus, according to paragraph 4 of Part 1 of Article 43 of the Law of the Republic of Belarus "On Combating Corruption", heads of state bodies and other organizations, within their competence, are obliged to inform state bodies engaged in combating corruption about facts of offenses committed by subordinate employees that create conditions for corruption, or corruption offenses, within ten days from the moment they become aware of the commission of such offenses.

We clarify that heads of state bodies and other organizations who have not fulfilled or have not fully fulfilled the specified requirements bear responsibility in accordance with legislative acts.
