The Prosecutor's Office of the Verkhnedvinsk district conducted inspections of the enforcement of legislation regulating child safety during the summer period.

It was established that, despite the wide range of measures taken by state bodies in this area, problems related to creating a comfortable and safe environment for minors still persist.

Thus, during the inspections, prosecutors identified instances of faulty equipment on playgrounds with constant child attendance in public places and on certain yard territories (at the intersection of Pervomayskaya and Moskovskogo streets, the "YASNO Telecom" sports ground, the territories of apartment buildings No. 17, 19, 15, 9 and others on Kobzuna Street, the yards of houses 52, 54, 56 on Pervomayskaya Street).

The enforcement of measures by organizations for the safe maintenance of potentially hazardous facilities was also checked.

For example, on K. Marx Street, during an inspection, children were present at a military dugout, and there were no warning signs "Dangerous zone. Entry prohibited."

A similar violation was identified during the inspection of a water tower located on Pervomayskaya Street. Warning signs were also absent there, and there was free access to the facility.

During the monitoring of the child safety system, instances of improper enforcement of legislation aimed at ensuring safe water recreation conditions were identified. For example, at the beach in the city park, there are no designated areas for children's swimming – bathing areas. Quarries on Moskovskogo Street and Zelenaya Street in Verkhnedvinsk are not fenced.

The violations identified during the inspection could lead to injuries and deaths, including those of minors, and require measures to eliminate them.

In order to eliminate violations of legislation on the protection of children's life and health, and the causes and conditions contributing to them, the district prosecutor's office submitted a representation to the Verkhnedvinsk District Executive Committee demanding the repair of faulty equipment and the implementation of measures for the safe maintenance of potentially hazardous facilities.
