The Republic of Belarus is a party to the United Nations Convention against Corruption. By the Law of the Republic of Belarus "On Ratification of the United Nations Convention against Corruption," the Prosecutor General's Office has been designated as the body coordinating its implementation.

In accordance with Article 13 of the aforementioned Convention, each State Party shall take appropriate measures to promote the active participation of individuals and groups outside the public sector in the prevention of and the fight against corruption, to enhance public understanding of the fact that corruption is an offence of whatever kind and however it is committed, whichм constitutes a threat to the stability and security of societies, undermines the institutions and values of democracy and lawful governance and obstructs the sustainable development of societies.

In order to organize constructive international cooperation, create an atmosphere of intolerance towards corruption, and take joint effective measures to combat this negative social phenomenon, Belarus, along with Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Tajikistan, actively participates in the activities of the Interstate Council for Combating Corruption, a sectoral cooperation body of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

The Council members have decided to hold the International Youth Competition of Social Anti-Corruption Advertising "Together Against Corruption!", which is open to participants from any country.

The international competition was organized by the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation, with co-organizers being the Prosecutor General's Offices of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Civil Service Affairs and Anti-Corruption, and the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan.
