President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko heard a report from the Minister of Internal Affairs Ivan Kubrakov on January 8. BELTA was informed about this by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
The head of state was informed about the operational situation that developed during the past holidays, the work to ensure public order during mass events, and the specifics of crimes and offenses during this period. As noted, the operational situation in the country is calm and under control.
Ivan Kubrakov also reported on the ongoing inspection of the readiness of the internal troops and some units of the internal affairs bodies. These measures are planned and are being implemented within the framework of the instructions previously given by the head of state. In particular, the operability of equipment and the coordination of personnel actions are being checked.
In addition, taking into account the difficult weather conditions, the Ministry of Internal Affairs is providing assistance in the regions and in the city of Minsk in clearing snow-covered areas. Necessary measures have been taken by the State Automobile Inspectorate.
