Lukashenko's meeting with Algerian President Tebboune is taking place at the "El Mouradia" Palace
The meeting between the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko and the President of Algeria Abdelmadjid Tebboune is taking place at the El Mouradia Palace in the country's capital, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.
Official negotiations are preceded by a welcoming ceremony with the performance of the anthems of the two countries and the participation of an honor guard.
El Mouradia Palace is the residence of the President of Algeria, where official foreign delegations are received. The palace, as well as the locality of the same name where it is located, are named in honor of Didouche Mourad, a national hero who died in the war with France for Algeria's independence.
According to local tradition, negotiations between the heads of state in narrow and expanded formats are held in a closed format without protocol statements for the media. Statements are usually made following the meeting.
As previously reported, the focus of the negotiations between Alexander Lukashenko and Abdelmadjid Tebboune is on deepening trade and economic cooperation and implementing mutually beneficial bilateral projects. The prospects for the supply of equipment and cooperation, interaction in the agro-industrial complex, medicine, education, and the humanitarian sphere in general are in the spotlight.
The head of the Belarusian state arrived in Algeria the day before. This is the fourth country in his extensive foreign tour. The President was met at the ramp by the Chairman of the Council of the Nation of the Algerian People's Democratic Republic, Nasseri Azouz.
Immediately upon arrival, Alexander Lukashenko held meetings with the Speaker of the National People's Assembly Ibrahim Boughali and the Prime Minister Sifi Gribi.
At these meetings, the President expressed confidence that Belarus and Algeria will be able to significantly increase trade turnover. "We are reliable people and will strictly adhere to our agreements. There will be no delays on our part," he said.

Alexander Lukashenko stated the need to adopt and fully implement a roadmap for the development of cooperation: "I understand well what Algeria means for Africa. We cooperate with many countries on the African continent. Because Africa is the future. We must definitely develop an absolutely workable plan for our relations, for our actions."
"We are ready to provide you with technologies in the fields of mechanical engineering, petrochemicals, chemistry, agriculture, and IT. We are ready to cooperate with you in the military-industrial complex. In short, there are no closed topics in our relations," the President assured.
On the eve of the visit, a bilateral business forum was held in Algeria, with the participation of over a hundred representatives from ministries, enterprises, and organizations from both sides. Numerous meetings and negotiations at various levels were held.
It is symbolic that Alexander Lukashenko's official visit to Algeria takes place in the year of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
