Lukashenko heads on an official visit to Algeria

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has embarked on an official visit to the Democratic People's Republic of Algeria, BelTA reports.

This is the first high-level visit in the history of relations between the two countries.

The head of the Belarusian state Alexander Lukashenko and the President of Algeria Abdelmadjid Tebboune will hold talks in narrow and expanded formats, focusing on deepening trade and economic cooperation and implementing mutually beneficial bilateral projects. It is planned to discuss the prospects for equipment supplies and cooperation, interaction in the agro-industrial complex, medicine, education, and the humanitarian sphere as a whole. Following the talks between the leaders of the countries and the visit as a whole, bilateral documents on the development of cooperation in various fields will be signed. Algeria will be the fourth state that the President will visit during a major trip to countries near and far abroad. Alexander Lukashenko headed here from Oman, where he was on a working visit. Prior to that, the Belarusian leader visited Myanmar and Kyrgyzstan.
