Lukashenko has embarked on an official visit to Myanmar

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has embarked on an official visit to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. The visit will take place on November 27-28, according to BelTA.

Official negotiations in a narrow and then expanded format will be held in the capital of Myanmar, Naypyidaw.

The head of the Belarusian state and the acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Chairman of the National Security and Defense Council, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, will discuss promising areas of bilateral cooperation and the implementation of joint projects. This will include, among other things, the development of cooperation in the fields of agriculture and food security, industry, and pharmaceuticals.

The negotiation agenda also includes a substantial block of issues in the sphere of humanitarian cooperation.

An assessment will be made of the progress in implementing the agreements reached during the high-level talks in Minsk in March and June of the current year.

The signing of a number of bilateral documents is planned, the main one being a roadmap for the development of cooperation between Belarus and Myanmar for 2026-2028.
