Lukashenko instructed to submit to him agreed proposals for improving the scientific sphere by January 1

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has instructed to submit coordinated proposals for the improvement and development of the scientific sphere to him by January 1. He announced this at a meeting on the development of the scientific sphere and the activities of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, a BELTA correspondent reports. At the meeting, Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences Vladimir Karanik made a number of proposals for improving scientific activities.

Alexander Lukashenko instructed the Prime Minister to consider relevant issues in the government, involving other responsible parties if necessary. "Make decisions on all issues. On all! Report to me by January 1 so that I can formalize it. Naturally, your proposals (Head of NAS. - BELTA note) will form the basis," he instructed.

The President recalled that the emphasis he placed at the beginning of the meeting regarding the status of scientists, the effectiveness of their work, and the overall role of science for the future development of the country should be taken into account in the final version of the proposals. "There will be no delay on my part. I promise that all documents submitted by you and the government will be signed by the President within 24 hours. We need to start working from January 1," the head of state assured. Alexander Lukashenko once again reminded the head of the NAS, Vladimir Karanik, of the task to focus on personnel, to determine who to work with further. "We need to involve the President - please, the government - please," he said. "All issues by January 1!" the Belarusian leader emphasized again. "So that scientists do not tell us that we have not worked something out."
