President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko heard reports from Chairman of the State Border Committee Konstantin Molostov, Minister of Internal Affairs Ivan Kubrakov, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxim Ryzhenkov on November 12, BELTA reports.

Chairman of the State Border Committee Konstantin Molostov reported on the overall situation at the state border, focusing specifically on the situation on the Belarusian-Lithuanian section. Information was presented on the operational situation, actions of the border service in cooperation with other agencies, and the implementation of the President's instructions.

The discussion also covered the development and improvement of the department's work as a whole, and the areas that require special attention given the current challenging conditions. This includes strengthening border security through the renewal and modernization of border infrastructure and technical means.

Minister of Internal Affairs Ivan Kubrakov informed the head of state about the situation in the border areas, where over 1,000 trucks have accumulated due to Lithuania's closure of border crossing points, including those abandoned along the roadside. He also reported on the implementation of previous instructions regarding the relocation of vehicles to guarded parking lots. These tasks are currently being carried out. Measures taken by law enforcement agencies are aimed at ensuring road traffic safety. In accordance with the President's instructions, drivers in difficult situations are provided with necessary assistance. Ivan Kubrakov also reported that the situation in the border territory is under the control of internal affairs bodies, and enhanced public order protection is ensured.
