Presidential Press Secretary of Belarus Natalya Eismont, answering questions from a journalist of the "First Information" TV channel, revealed some details of Alexander Lukashenko's international contacts on the sidelines of the CIS summit in Tajikistan, BELTA correspondent reports.
On the eve of the main day of the summit in Dushanbe, an informal dinner of CIS leaders took place, which was held in a closed format. "I won't tell you any specific details yet, that's why it's a behind-the-scenes part, a closed part," the press secretary said in response to a request to reveal details of the negotiations. She explained that at such events, presidents communicate with each other one-on-one, but in a broad format. "They talked for a long time, very trustingly and in a very good mood. I know that for sure," the press secretary added.
The leaders' communication continued on the main day of the summit. Before its start, a conversation took place between the Presidents of Belarus and Tajikistan, Alexander Lukashenko and Emomali Rahmon. "Our President and the President of Tajikistan discussed the entire complex of key Belarusian-Tajik relations, the issues we have," Natalya Eismont noted.
"Communication with all other presidents, with the Prime Minister of Armenia, continued in the same way today. As it usually happens at major international venues, everyone uses this time to communicate with each other and interact constructively," the press secretary explained.
