President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko emphasized the importance of developing historical science during a meeting with the ideological asset, historical and expert community, dedicated to the Day of National Unity, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.

Speaking about the development of historical science in the country, the President noted: "It is important what topics postgraduate students and scientists are working on today, who teaches history and how, who forms museum exhibitions and tourist routes and how."

The Head of State stressed that he is interested in these issues from the perspective of focusing on events, dates, and personalities.
