Lukashenko: The Belarusian-Uzbek Women's Business Forum serves as a starting point for new agreements

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko sent greetings to the participants of the III Belarusian-Uzbek Women's Business Forum, which was held in Vitebsk this year, BELTA was informed by the press service of the head of state.

"It is symbolic that the current meeting is taking place in the year of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. In those formidable hours, Belarusians and Uzbeks fought shoulder to shoulder bravely on the fronts against a common enemy. And today, there are no dividing lines between our peoples, and strong friendly ties have been tested by time," the greeting reads. "Evidence of this is the dynamic development of bilateral relations between Belarus and Uzbekistan in all areas without exception - from economy to humanitarian cooperation."

The success of joint initiatives is largely due to the active position of Belarusian and Uzbek women, who play a significant role in promoting and protecting the interests of both states, the President noted.

"I am sure that the women's business forum, which has become traditional, will serve as a starting point for new agreements that will undoubtedly contribute to strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries and improving the well-being of their citizens," the head of state emphasized.

Alexander Lukashenko wished all participants of the event fruitful and constructive work, and business representatives - the implementation of planned projects for the prosperity of the peoples of Belarus and Uzbekistan.
