Lukashenko: Belarus counts on the successful implementation of projects with Pakistan
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, on behalf of his compatriots and himself, congratulated the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and all the residents of this country on their national holiday - Independence Day. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
"The history of your country vividly testifies to the people's determination in defending sovereignty and independence, their love for peace, and their commitment to a just world order," the congratulatory message to the President of Pakistan reads.
The President of Belarus emphasized that Minsk considers Islamabad its reliable friend and partner: "We are open to large-scale interstate cooperation both in bilateral and multilateral formats. I am confident that in the very near future, we will be able to maximally effectively utilize the existing great potential of Belarusian-Pakistani interaction."
In his congratulatory message to Shehbaz Sharif, Alexander Lukashenko recalled the recent meetings held in Islamabad and Minsk. "I hope for the successful implementation of all agreements on the realization of projects in the fields of mechanical engineering, light industry, and other sectors, as well as on the supply of BELAZ dump trucks to Pakistan and the dispatch of qualified Pakistani specialists to work in Belarus," the head of state noted.
The Belarusian leader emphasized his openness to discussing any issues with the Prime Minister of Pakistan, as well as his readiness to develop mutually beneficial solutions.
