Lukashenko will meet with Moldovan politician and former president Igor Dodon
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko will hold a meeting with former Moldovan President Igor Dodon, who currently holds the post of Chairman of the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova (PSRM), BelTA reports.
In 2016-2020, Igor Dodon served as President of Moldova. In this capacity, he visited Belarus twice, in 2017 and 2019, on working visits. During this period, the head of the Belarusian state visited Moldova on an official visit in 2018.
On the morning of July 12, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova and the "Belaya Rus" party at the Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War. Igor Dodon also met with representatives of the Moldovan diaspora in Belarus.
The PSRM is one of the largest political forces in Moldova, founded in 1997.
