Lukashenko: An effective healthcare system has been built in Belarus through the efforts of many generations of medical professionals
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated healthcare professionals on their professional holiday - Medical Worker's Day. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the head of state.
"This is a day to honor people of one of the noblest professions, which is entered by a calling of the heart, understanding that it requires unprecedented dedication, patience, and daily meticulous work. Through the efforts of many generations of Belarusian medics, an accessible and effective healthcare system has been built and is functioning in the country. We are proud that we have preserved and are developing both traditional and new directions in the field, building hospitals and clinics, acquiring modern equipment, and successfully mastering innovative diagnostic and treatment methods in every corner of Belarus to improve people's quality of life," the congratulatory message reads.
Alexander Lukashenko noted that today time presents the industry with global challenges: without slowing down the pace of relevant scientific research, to implement advanced technologies, and to train young specialists – worthy successors of the best traditions of domestic medicine.
The President expressed gratitude to all healthcare workers and veterans for their work and wished their families and loved ones happiness, well-being, peace, and goodness.
