Presidents of Belarus and Russia Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin had a phone conversation on the evening of May 26. This was reported to BelTA by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
The heads of state discussed the main current issues of the bilateral Belarusian-Russian agenda, as well as the international situation.
In addition, the President of Russia thanked his Belarusian counterpart for the assistance and help provided in organizing the prisoner exchange process "one thousand for a thousand" – in furtherance of the agreements reached in Istanbul.
