Lukashenko: Belarus highly values Tbilisi's efforts to preserve sovereignty
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated President of Georgia Mikheil Kavelashvili and all residents of this country on Independence Day. BELTA was informed about this by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
"For a millennium, the Georgian people, who were at the crossroads of the interests of great empires, have waged a persistent struggle for their statehood, bravely defended the identity of their native land and believed in its bright future," the congratulation reads.
Minsk highly values Tbilisi's efforts to preserve sovereignty and believes that they will certainly contribute to the flourishing of Georgia, the President noted.
"I am confident that the long history of friendly Belarusian-Georgian relations should become a solid foundation for the resumption of mutually beneficial partnership between the two countries, contribute to the well-being of our peoples, as well as stability and security on the Eurasian continent," the head of state emphasized.
Alexander Lukashenko wished Mikheil Kavelashvili good health, happiness and inexhaustible energy, and all Georgians - peace and harmony.
