Lukashenko demands more active diversification of Belarusian food exports

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko demands more active diversification of Belarusian food exports. He made relevant statements during personnel decisions, a BELTA correspondent reports.

Alexander Lukashenko noted that currently, for example, there are difficulties with selling oil abroad, and there is an excess of this product. "But everything else is bought up, except for oil. But oil is made from milk. Well, let's, as in Volkovysk (at the Bellakt enterprise. - BELTA note), process it into this dry milk. Good price. We'll take it to Africa. We'll make baby food," the head of state suggested one of the action options.

"Canned products can also be transported further. We need to move forward in this regard and not stop under any circumstances. This is very important. Without the economy, there is nowhere to go," the Belarusian leader emphasized. "A year ago, I warned you that we would have problems in the main market - the Russian one. They are already appearing. Fortunately, there is China, which consumes more and more of our food products and so on. But the Chinese will not buy anything from us from industrial goods. Because they have all this good stuff themselves. And in the Russian market, there is fierce competition now. Everything is not simple. Therefore, we need to strain and work everywhere."
