NHL player Alexander Ovechkin presented a signed hockey jersey as a gift to Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko. A photograph of the gift was published by the Telegram channel "Pool of the First," as reported by BELTA.
"To Alexander Grigoryevich from OVI (this is how American fans abbreviate Ovechkin's name. - BELTA's note)! All the best!" - is written on the jersey.
Earlier, Alexander Lukashenko congratulated Alexander Ovechkin on becoming the sole NHL record holder for goals in regular championships. This congratulation was officially presented to the hockey player by the Chargé d'affaires of Belarus in the USA, Pavel Shidlovsky. It was during this meeting that the commemorative gift was handed over to the President.
