Lukashenko approved the appointment of Igor Petrishenko as First Deputy Secretary General of the CIS
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has agreed to the appointment of Igor Petrishenko as First Deputy Secretary General of the Commonwealth of Independent States. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
Until now, Igor Petrishenko held the post of Deputy Prime Minister, overseeing the social sphere. On March 3, the Head of State appointed Vladimir Karanik, who previously held the position of Chairman of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee, to this post.
