President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated People's Artist of the USSR Gennady Ovsyannikov on his 90th birthday. BELTA was informed about this by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
"Thanks to your talent, skill, and boundless love for your Motherland, you have written bright pages in the chronicle of modern Belarusian culture. Your role in the formation and development of the Yanka Kupala National Academic Theatre and domestic cinema cannot be overestimated," the congratulatory message reads.
The Head of State emphasized that in Belarus, Gennady Ovsyannikov is known not only as an outstanding actor, who is an example of high professionalism and devotion to his calling, but also as a sincere patriot, a person with a firm civic stance.
Alexander Lukashenko wished the People's Artist good health, inspiration, success, and long life.
