Lukashenko commented on the situation at the state border
The situation at the border is challenging, and there is plenty of work for everyone. This was stated by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on January 30, when approving the decision on state border protection for 2025, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.
"The situation at the borders is not simple, we have always talked and continue to talk about it. Today, there is plenty of work not only for border guards but also for customs officers, especially at checkpoints. The queues on both sides are huge, which adds extra burden to our border guards," said Alexander Lukashenko.
The President added that he knows firsthand what checkpoints and the green border are, and how borders are guarded. "It's all not simple. Therefore, let's discuss the main aspects of state border protection, the key elements. And if we reach full mutual understanding and agreement with the proposed option by the border troops, we will approve the decision on state border protection," the Belarusian leader concluded.
