Lukashenko: Belarus is successfully replacing cooperation with the West with the East
Belarus is successfully replacing cooperation with the West with cooperation with the East. This was stated by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to Chinese journalists after voting in the presidential elections, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.
"We will cooperate quietly and calmly, because there are still enough rabid people who are watching to put spokes in our wheels. We have agreed with the Chinese not to publicize, not to detail our cooperation too much. But today, what we once planned and started doing with Western companies, we have successfully completed and are working with the Chinese. China has everything for the development of our economy," said Alexander Lukashenko.
At the same time, he noted that the Chinese, unlike their Western counterparts, do not hide their technologies and are ready to share them. "If they sold us a machine tool, they also give us the drawings so that we can make these gears, shafts, gearboxes, and even engines in Belarus. That is, we are successfully replacing the West with the East, mainly through Russia and the People's Republic of China. There are other countries too. This is the essence of our cooperation," the President said.
