President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko received a report today from the special envoy of the Head of State, Viktor Sheiman. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
During the conversation, issues of increasing the Belarusian presence on the African continent were discussed. In particular, the creation of joint ventures, the supply of our machine-building and food products, the construction of roads and railways, the training of specialists for work on Belarusian equipment, its maintenance and repair, and the construction of power plants.
As Viktor Sheiman reported, there are proposals from African partners for the creation of enterprises for the production and processing of poultry and beef, dairy products, and agricultural holdings.
As was emphasized during the meeting, Africa is an interesting and promising continent. The Head of State has instructed to strengthen work, leading to the creation of joint ventures and the conclusion of long-term contracts.
Another topic of conversation was the creation of new enterprises in Belarus, including those working in the field of artificial intelligence. This area was also noted as promising. Viktor Sheiman reported relevant proposals to the Head of State.
