Lukashenko: there should be no indecisiveness in the government or in the Presidential Administration
There should be no slackers in the government or the Presidential Administration. This was emphasized by the Head of State Alexander Lukashenko on January 14, while making personnel decisions, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.
The President pointed out that this year and throughout the entire five-year term, the main requirements, as for all civil servants, will be execution discipline and responsibility for the decisions made.
"Put things in order in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This is an ironclad requirement, without any foolishness. The people are competent, intelligent; there are no unintelligent diplomats. There must be strict requirements where necessary, and execution discipline from subordinates. This applies to everyone. There should be no slackers in the Administration, in the government, or among you. If we maintain this trend, work in this vein, we will succeed," Alexander Lukashenko emphasized. "We lack discipline, especially execution discipline. To write off a report, to send some nonsense to the President, bypassing Krugovoy. He will rubber-stamp it – and then the President has to sort it out."
He cited the work on developing the investment program as an example. "This is a crucial document. I did not sign it; as usual, I returned it to the government. You are throwing it back at me again, and three or four people will come to report to me. Those who prepared this program. But where is the alternative point of view? Will we build everything there, will we direct the money there? This kind of thoughtless approach should not be allowed," the Head of State demanded.
