Lukashenko: Relations of true friendship and trust have developed between Belarus and Qatar
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, his Deputy, Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani, and the people of this country on the National Day. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Head of State.
"Our country highly values the achievements of the Qatari leadership, whose activities are aimed at the sustainable development of their state, strengthening the well-being of its population, and maintaining order in their homeland," the Belarusian leader stated in his congratulatory message to the Emir of Qatar.
The Head of State emphasized that Minsk supports Doha's efforts to end regional conflicts, restore security, and establish peace in the Middle East.
"I am pleased to note that our peoples share common views on traditional family values, the need to preserve cultural heritage and national self-identity," the congratulatory message reads.
Alexander Lukashenko welcomed Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani's readiness to visit Belarus and discuss steps to enhance the dynamics of bilateral cooperation. The President invited the Emir of Qatar to visit Minsk during the warm season, from May to September 2025.
In his congratulatory message to Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani, the Head of State noted that relations of true friendship and trust have been established between Belarus and Qatar, as evidenced by active interstate contacts at all levels, fruitful joint work of governments in various areas, and mutual support in the international arena.
