Lukashenko congratulated John Dramani Mahama on his election as President of Ghana
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated John Dramani Mahama on his election to the post of President of Ghana. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
"The voting results indicate a high level of trust from the people in you and the National Democratic Congress party. I am convinced that your work as head of state will contribute to its prosperity and the improvement of citizens' well-being, as well as to strengthening Ghana's position on the international stage," the congratulatory message reads.
The Head of State confirmed his interest in developing long-term strong ties between the two countries for the benefit of their peoples, and also specifically noted the significant potential for cooperation between Belarus and Ghana in agriculture and food security, industry, healthcare, science, and education.
The President of Belarus expressed hope for further strengthening of traditionally friendly bilateral relations and invited the President of Ghana to visit Minsk on an official visit at any convenient time.
Alexander Lukashenko wished John Dramani Mahama good health, happiness, and success in his responsible state activities.
