Lukashenko: Belarus and Laos are confidently building a bilateral partnership dialogue
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated the President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic Thongloun Sisoulith and the people of this country on the Republic Proclamation Day. BELTA was informed about this by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
The Head of State noted that Belarus and Laos have a long history of interaction, based on respect, trust, and readiness to help each other.
This year marks 30 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. "Our friendship has undoubtedly stood the test of time," the congratulatory message reads. "We are confidently building a bilateral partnership dialogue. Both states have identical approaches on fundamental issues of the global and regional agendas, including the peaceful resolution of any conflicts based on international law."
Alexander Lukashenko noted that he has the warmest impressions from his meeting with the leader of Laos in Kazan at the BRICS summit. "It is gratifying to note that Minsk and Vientiane are interested in the further development of mutually beneficial cooperation and the practical realization of the significant economic potential of Belarusian-Laotian ties," the President added.
The Head of State confirmed the invitation to the President of Laos to visit hospitable Belarus at any convenient time for a detailed discussion of all matters of mutual interest to both countries.
Alexander Lukashenko wished Thongloun Sisoulith good health, happiness, and success in his responsible state activities, and the people of Laos - harmony and progress.
